The world seems like a total mess right now and sometimes you just need a milkshake to feel better. So why not try enjoying one that is slightly healthier and not loaded with sugar and empty carbs?

Most people aren't going to have a noticeable difference in accuracy between dry measures and wet measures lol
If you are hand holding a wet measuring cup, or have it on a tile countertop, or a sloped sideboard, or pretty much anything other than a laser leveled granite countertop, you are going to be inaccurate because of tilt.
Since you were filling it over the bowl, you were able to get the milk even with all the edges of the cup, so it's probably more accurate than hand holding a liquid cup, because you had a built in level indicator!

So unless you are trying to get perfectly repeatable recipes, and unless your recipe calls out in fractions of a gram, you are probably getting it perfect.

(any recipe that uses whole measuring units is by definition rounded to the nearest convenient unit, which means that it's not actually as critical as some would have one believe, especially if it's a volume unit rather than by weight)

'Sir I think someone was in the building last night. Nothing seems to be missing but it appears someone made a shake.'

'Nonsense, we've got no sugar in this
'Deviant!!!'

For a moment I actually thought you were going to share a recipe for a beverage that didn't have booze in it! But only for a moment. Good recipe, thanks.

EDIT - Kept for historical reasons, but the following comment applies to powdered splenda, which is sucralose bound with dextrose and multodextrin, and NOT about liquid sucralose.

Original:

Splenda's "0 Calorie" claim is based on a trick of labeling laws. It in fact has 3 calories per gram. Table sugar has 4 calories per gram. The serving size of Splenda is 1 gram. The serving size of sugar is 1 gram. If your calories per serving is under 5 calories, the USDA allows you to round down to zero, if you are not using table sugar which is just required to list calories from sugar no matter the size.

If you really want a 0 calorie sweetener, you don't really have many options outside of aspartame. ...or engine coolant. I would stick with aspertame.

(and to be totally nerd pedantic, Splenda/Sucralose is technically an agricultural product, so they can in fact claim its a natural sweetener. It's a natural sweetener made in a lab with sucrose feed stock, but technically! Marketing!)

Deev, I need some advice/guidance. I purchased a knockoff apple lightning to HDMI adapter off of amazon, and i am pretty sure it is a bug/hacking device. I fully cop to not reading reviews before I bought it. I recieved it, hooked it up, and instead of working, it put a QR code on my TV screen and instructed me to scan the QR code to activate the device. Naturally, I noped the fuck out of that, and immediately unhooked the devil's dongle. I then read the reviews like I should have done in the first place, and apparently if you are dumb enough to scan the QR code, it connects you to a 'would you like to trust this computer' prompt, and if you are dumb enough to trust the mystery device, the dongle begins halfway working. The dongle itself looks exactly like the official apple version (i suspect it is made using parts from the same factory) except it has a small hole that i suspect conceals a microphone. I'm willing to chalk up the 15 bucks as a life lesson, so instead of returning it I would like to send this dongle to someone on youtube that would analyze/invstigate it. Of the channels I subscribe to, I figured you would be the one most likely to point me in the direction of someone who might be interested in examining this thing for the benefit of idiots like me. Do you have any thoughts/recommendations? Thank you, both for maybe having some advice, and for the content you put out.

Never tried an egg or cottage cheese in a shake, are you adding them for protein, or thickening?

When I was doing Keto I made whey shakes with coconut cream (coconut milk can be really watery) - that way you can cut out the carbs from the milk too. Goes well with chocolate.

Good sir, I didn't think anyone could make me feel self-conscious about the way I make my milkshakes.

This is the secret to all of your powers of circumventing security measures!!!

This looks delicious. I have never thought to put cottage cheese into a shake/smoothie before, it's brilliant. Thank you for sharing!

A tiny bit too much vanilla extract and you've ruined a recipe. My experience says generally error on the side of less.

I like ice, unsweetened almond milk, and 1-2 bananas, preferably very ripe bananas. Add cocoa powder and stevia to taste. Whip that up and you’re good to go.

I love how it’s “cookin with grandma” style til you drink it. Then it’s “fuck me, goddamn” goodness. Lol 😂 I’m definitely going to try this; thanks for an awesome video!
