PayPal 'Check-in Payments' In-Store Demo

TECH IN TOKYO PRESENTS a Walkthrough Demonstration of PayPal's 'Check-in Payments' (ペイパル チェックイン支払い
) or 'PayPal Here' Mobile POS system in Labi Electronics Store, Shibuya, Tokyo.

Basically you pick whatever item you want to buy, take it up to the PayPal counter, hook up the PayPal app on your mobile phone to the POS device and pay without touching cash or credit cards at all. You get sent confirmation immediately and the app stores meta data like time of purchase, info about the item you bought and location, time, etc. It worked really smoothly, a cool innovation.
