I'd add that a lot of its value is also from having played the original and now seeing the polished version: it's really amazing how much they improved the atmosphere and pixel sprites. I also think the soundtrack is one of the best out of any games I've played, it's really captivating and has a nice usage of its leitmotif.
It can be a bit tedious to get all the endings though, as you'll need to do at least 3 runs (one blind, and then 2 for the other 4) and even while speedrunning it takes a good 3 hours due to long unskippable dialogue scenes.

I agree that the story bits are very little and they could have definitely explained more, especially about the "pact mystery". However, the devs have been working hard on a prequel to this game which is still in development and it's gonna focus on the main character's mom. So maybe they just didn't want to reveal too much about it yet.

All in all, I think this is a great game for anyone who's ever played any horror rpg maker games or those who love frilly horror that isn't too mechanically complex or scary. It delivers a very enjoyable journey through different worlds that each convey different fantasies and concepts. Also the endings add quite a bit to the understanding, though most of them are quite short. Also I feel like the final area of this game is pretty weak compared to the worlds before, it feels a bit tedious to get through it.

I really hope there will be a console version in the future. Ideally with a nice physical edition. I´m interested in this game, but I´m just not a PC player.

Pocket Mirror could've absolutely been as popular as the other, more well-known games in the genre, like oneshot or even omori (both games have some similarities imo), but sadly... it never really got the recognition it truly deserves.
