I like it that you seem to add more and more new music to your videos. It's kind of like having a new 'theme song' for you life in America.

You're just not used to knocking down counters and remodeling a home Richard; that's nothing to be ashamed of!  I know you have a great family and awesome friends that could possibly help you out.  Y'all are doing great so far.  Also, I love that last song you included in the video.  I think it's what sets your vlogs apart form a lot of others, the fact that you include a music montage in every video, lol.

Doing awesome on the kitchen so far. Not sure if anyone has mentioned this since your move. The so called "creepy room" in your basement is probably a old fruit cellar. You could use the scraps of wood from your kitchen and any old cabinets you don't plan to reuse in there and upcycle them for that fruit cellar. It would make a nice place for you to store any canning you may decide to do or to store root veggies that you may grow in your future garden. Just a thought, and hope it helps. Keep up the good work with the vids!

I am, literally (and I mean like really literally), looking forward to your vlogs everyday... I love seen how different New York is from where I am from, Brazil, and where I live now, London. It makes me wanna visit the U.S.

My ex-husband and I often had little moments like yours in the kitchen when we were doing work on our old house. So much to do, it gets overwhelming, don't know where to start, start one project 16 more rear their ugly heads. It's nice that you have Stephanie there to help and also just to bounce ideas off of. Two heads are better than one after all :)

when a man with a hammer doesn't know what to do, he definitely should give it to a woman!!!! bravo Steph!! I can't help you more with this issues, in Spain, houses are made of brick and concrete, so we don't (usually) have holes behind the molding :/ but you're doing pretty well!! I can't wait to see the new kitchen and the wall painted and the furniture make over!!! I'm so excited!!!!

Maybe will be a good idea to ask for help to Steph' sis husband. To come one weekend and help with that part on the kitchen remodelation.
From my point of view, you guys are so brave doing a total adventure on remodeling and planning your home designs at the same time, then also making the videos for us all.
I find myself suffering and laughing with you guys and also i was kind of stressed lol when the mold situation just arise! I know that you have to kill that mold first. You have to spray it with bleach and let it dry. It is the best and easy way to fix that problem.🏡
I do recommend to shut off the water under the counter just in case of any unexpected happen
Until the counters get settled correctly.
Take a big breath and keep on you guys are faraway already. You will see the light at the end of the tunnel sooner.

Don't worry Richard, remodeling is hard to do! It can be incredibly frustrating, but you and Steph are doing great! The house is coming along beautifully!

Lol Richard sounds like me when I've had a minor meltdown. I know it's rough for you guys but just take it easy, of course you want it to be done already but it takes time. I've been watching you guys since you lived in Korea and you're so honest and real (my favorite kind of people). Welcome home! I live in New York too and you guys are getting things done faster than most people would have. Keep up the great work!

Be very careful gutting the kitchen. I sound like a square but, safety first. Get some goggles and gloves if you can. I have an uncle who went blind in one guy because because a splint of wood broke off and shot right into his eye while he was taking stuff apart. It's a couple of bucks for some safety goggles and gloves. Better safe than sorry. Those cabinets still looks good. Just sand them and add some paint 😊

I live in 100 year old house. Childhood home really. We have that same floor. When we reshinled the flat end of roof. ( always thought it looked strange). They found notes written on the wood. Turned out the orginal owner wanted the flat end of the roof to be an outdoor balcony. The posts were marked and everything. Wonder why they never finished it
