An Easy Triangle Problem from the AHSME

Показать описание
We solve a geometry problem from the American High School Mathematics Exam. This high school math competition problem gives us a triangle and two lines cutting it parallel to the base in a unique way. We have lots of info to work with and will use triangle similarity to find the length of the longer of the two lines. In particular we take advantage of the ratio of the areas of two similar triangles. #mathcompetition #mathproblems #mathchallenge
