Man, when this movie first came out and this was the very first look anyone got at the Jedi in their prime… I kid you not, the theater was ROCKING. People started cheering the moment the lightsabers came out, and when Qui-Gon started destroying the blast doors, man. Just chills. It’s hard to explain.

Lots of people don’t like Episode 1 for numerous reasons:

They believe it’s too boring, the don’t like Jar Jar, Midiclorions are introduced to explain why Anakin was so powerful, etc.

Personally, I love Episode 1. Seeing the Jedi take care of affairs that they didn’t know were linked to the Sith is pretty cool. Though I enjoy the Jedi vs Sith stuff, seeing Jedi act as peacekeepers was a fun change of pace.
