Race to Break the Sound Barrier - Documentary on The History of High Speed Flight.

This is a perfect documentary and all of the documentaries you can find on this Youtube channel are excellent for entertaining and educating you and your entire family. Documentaries are the future of education since the only real way to learn anything is to be interested enough in the material that you can retain it. This is where documentaries come into play. Good documentaries will hold your interest and present the information in a way that you want to know more because you can relate to all of the idea.Documentary filmmakers are often motivated to make their films because they feel a particular story or viewpoint is not being (adequately) covered by mainstream media.

Great film, thanks. It's a real pity though that neither the makers or Jaeger credited Miles Aircraft for the moving tailplane design taken from the M.52. Bell would have found the answer of course, but it would have delayed the programme by some degree. For Jaeger to claim it as their own breakthrough is pure fantasy.

They pulled the bomb shackle release handle before they removed the safety pin? Didn't these guys use check lists? I wonder what else they "accidentally" forgot. I suppose that it really didn't matter much in the long run. They got the job done. I watch the video showing them fueling the LOX/alcohol tanks and thought they were being pretty cavalier about handling something so dangerous. Oh, well. They got the job done and didn't kill off too many pilots, right? All's well that ends well !!!
