In the 30s and 40s, 80% of bottlefed babies were given canned evaporated (full fat) milk as formula.
Recipe: 13 ounces (1 can) evaporated milk, 19 ounces sterile water, 1 ounce Karo syrup (clear type).
Goat's milk was given to babies allergic to cow's milk.
Liquid baby vitamin drops (with iron) was given daily with this formula.
We turned out good.

Walmart treated me like a criminal for trying to bring my UNOPENED cans of elecare with proof of purchase. They would not give me my money back i was forced to go find a different formula that I wasn’t even sure she could have because she’s severely allergic to so much. My child has eaten elecare for her whole life of being born (9) months. we were in and out of hospitals every month!! They couldn’t figure out what was wrong and was sent home. My Walmart is currently still selling the recalled product as of today

My pediatrician tried to tell me I *need* to give my baby formula after four months.

No sir. This is one of many reasons why I will NOT.

Shame on them! My baby has been eating one of the recall brands. He was sick a week ago, for several days vomiting and diarrhea. I wander if there is a connection.
Found out about this whole mess last night trying to buy more formula and we are so stress now!

My sons on alimentum we just got our month supply right before recall and every can is recall batch. I tried to bring back to Kroger where I purchased them and they refussed to give refund!!! I am a single mom I cant afford to throw that much money down the drain. They cost $44 a can where I am. And now I got to spend more to get more formula along with struggling to find one my baby can and will take so far we have tried 3 diffrent ones with no luck. He also had been having diarrhea off and on for a bit we thought it was teething or trying new foods but now I'm concered its from having this formula

The plant that makes this these powdered formulas won the prestigious Shingo Prize in 2019. The Shingo Award supposedly given only to companies that have exemplary management, quality, procedural, etc. practices. Apparently, they went WAY downhill in three years. Or the Shingo Prize is a joke, which has my vote.

Is there no S26 and Promil made by Wyett Suaco over there? It's a great formula for babies and used it for my two kids never had a problem

Exactly why you should Sterilize the milk first with boil water …I always !! Even with purified water ..I don’t care if the water is 100% clean, I’m sterilizing everything .
