We're visiting Coffs in April for the first time since 2018, was hoping to see this done and drive on it, but wishful thinking.

Update 8 is coming out soon. It will be shot in two parts: the first focusses on the new division that has been opened on part of the new highway, and the second covers the entire bypass. Unfortunately, the weather conditions at the moment are not conducive to the mission due to high winds and rain on most days. As soon as it clears we will fly the missions.

No wonder this bypass is the last to be done on the M1/M11/M2/M7/M31 through NSW. The most complicated of all the bypasses, by far.

Although once this and the M1 extension and bypass of Heatherbrae are completed, the M31 to M1 route still won’t be motorway the entire distance from the VIC to QLD borders… there will still be an 80 km/h section through Coolongolook - no plans to bypass that.

When are you gonna start working on the Bruce Highway? We’ve been putting up with this goat track since Federation so about time. The federal government should poured some money into this highway. Stop all those bloody accidents and highway closure every time we get flooding rain. The highway needs to be upgraded as soon as possible.😊

Quick edit, I have a request for you, can you fly over the abandoned Dorrigo Railway. especially out near Raleigh at the Orara River because that bridge has been doing nothing but falling apart ever since it was shut off, also out at Guyra past Armidale

This project will be finished in 2035 at the earliest. it started in 1952.

Why has a lot of the roadside rubble/dirt been coated in some green-type paint. Looks like copper sulphate. Any idea what it is?
