What else do you want to see with this cop car?

Another way is you can easily spot lights like you said on the pushbar, mirrors and other spots. But usually in the windows or in other select spots you can spot them

When a Ford Explorer is on your ass for 8 miles after you leave a car meet, its probably a cop.

A fun fact of the CVPI is it's one of the last vehicles that is not a pickup truck that is body on frame. That means you can body swap the crown vics to look like a Ford Falcon or Ford F100.

I work for a company that outfits police vehicles. And those black objects you found behind the carpet are called fuse blocks. Thats how we give power to all the diffrent lights throughout the vehicle.
Never worked on a Ford Taurus, but did plenty of Ford Explorers, Chevy Tahoes, Ford trucks, Ford Crown Vics, and only a handful of Dodge Chargers( God they're small and suck to work on)

Another way to spot one is to go by one 25 mph above the speed limit. You find out pretty fast.

I know some police departments are buying civilian grade vehicles and then converting them into unmarked police vehicles. I saw a white Ford Explorer with chrome wheels, chrome grille, roof bars, and etc. at the previous Woodward Dream Cruise. It had went into the median like a cop car would and then turned on it’s lights and took off about 15 minutes later. They are getting very sneaky now!

In California a lot of agencies are not putting ca exempt plates on there unmarked cars anymore.

In Michigan the cops have an “X” in the middle. Easy to spot in my opinion

In some states police cars that are unmarked (no decals or lightbar) can have regular license plates, they dont have to have municipal plates or police plates

Just saying, not all unmarked/undercover police vehicles have state license plates. I have seen a lot that doesn't have state license plates. Also, police interceptors will typically have a decent amount of window tint.

You should do a video over the interior

Another way to spot a cop car at least with the new 2020 fpiu's is the headlights. I've noticed that the turn signals in the headlights stay on as running lights and with civilian explorers they don't. Also with the fpis the front turn signals are usually led lights not halogen like civilian taurus'

Another way to spot a cop car is the fake vents on the fender of the Taurus. On all the civilian Taurus cars, the vents are chrome. On the Police Interceptor cars, the vents are flat black.

I know in the state of Minnesota, it’s really easy to tell the difference between marked police cars vs People Impersonating Police officers… if you’re driving down a road anywhere in the state of Minnesota and the license plate says Police on it, then you know you’re about to get pulled over… if the license plate doesn’t say police on it, it’s either unmarked or an impersonator… but it’ll more likely be unmarked since it’s required by the state of Minnesota to have a door shield on unmarked police cars

For the brand new Interceptor utility vehicles, the head light has amber colored DRLs above the headlight (orange stripe) and on civilian models the DRL stripe is composed of white Leds.
