In this video, I will make a home automation project, using Arduino and sim800l GSM module. By using this project, you can control home appliances manually, with push buttons. Alternatively, you can use IR remote, to control the relays connected to Arduino. you may use any TV remote you have. you can also control the lights by making call to GSM module. The GSM module automatically accept the call after 2 rings. Then you can control the relays by pressing 1, 2, 3 or 4 from the keypad. similarly, you can turn OFF the relays, by pressing the same keys. this method is call DTMF.

I have also added the SMS feature, to control the relays. send 1, 2 3 or 4 from your mobile phone to turn ON and OFF the relays. By using SMS and DTMF feature, you can control the home appliances from anywhere in the world. This whole project works on GSM network and does not required any internet connection. You can also check the status of any relay (ON or OFF) by sending sms, and you will get the status of the relay on your mobile phone.

I had the same problem with the unstable state on the relay in one of my projects.
How is the 1k connected.?
From ground to switch pin?
From +5v to switch pin?
Or across the switch terminals?

Hello and thank you for this complete tutorial. I decided to put the project program on the atmega32 microcontroller using the bootloader and I did. The relays work via push button, ir remote and phone call, but the controller doesn't read the sms, can you help me?

Excellent, use (433 rf) instead of (ir), I put all text messages in the code with 0 ، With 7 relays.

A great program, but the dtmf does not like it with me from the first press, it needs more than one pressure in order to respond, whether in stopping or running, so what is the solution to this problem
