Thinking about buying this car in the US - really nice review and good perspective from an actual customer. I've been torn between hatchbacks and SUV type cars but I don't want to live at the gas station. Niro is unique in that I can get the height of a crossover, fuel efficiency of a Prius and price tag closer to a sedan or hatchback. Very impressive car all around - thanks for this review!

This is the perfect type of driver for en EV or hybrid. He’s primarily driving around town and doesn’t floor it. This car isn’t meant to be driven like a sports car. It does the job. Gas prices will go up and these cars are going it sell well. Very good interview and information. I haven’t seen any other sites do these owner reviews videos. They’re excellent.

This was really fun, especially since I have a 2019 Ioniq hybrid. It was nice to see Charles learning about the car.

I was torn between the Niro and the ioniq. The Hyundai seemed to come with more stuff included for a lower price. You do lose the bigger backseat, but the gas mileage is wonderful. You can’t really lose with the Niro. The Driver Only button is genius.

I just returned my lease Kia Niro few months ago. Nice little city car when driving low speed and it's calm and quiet Bit of noisy over 50mph. Small on the outside spacious inside. I return avg 50+ mpg mostly on highway. Nice video also 👍

I have a 2019 Niro Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV). 26-30 EV miles and 50mpg. I love it. Perfect size and all the tech I need.

I personally put around 55k miles on one of those. It’s a great all rounder, very good for long distances, just don’t expect it to be a sports car. For anyone doing long miles, and I pulled at times 8 to 9 hours behind the wheel and I wasn’t destroyed at the end of the day. Would definitely buy one, the last one was a company car.

One of my friends from the gym got one for two years. He told me that he more often visit petrol stations to grab a coffee or screenwash rather than to fill up his car.

Suppose to be my next wife's car (this summer) but the COVID-19 kill our plans...
Merci à Emmanuel et à toi pour ce partage.

This is a really good review and has helped me decide that the Niro is going to be my next car. But... please, please, PLEASE be a safer driver! Keep your hands on the steering wheel dude!! In many countries taking both hands off the wheel like you do - SO MUCH - would be treated as a serious traffic offence because you are definitely not in proper control of the vehicle. It’s not an autonomous vehicle, so you really can’t rely on the “Lane keep” sensor. Other than that, good review, by a good reviewer. Thank you👍

Love my 2018 Niro Touring. Bought it in 09/2018. 68k miles on the odometer. Average summer MPG: 40-44mpg. Winter MPG: 34-38mpg. I drive it like a regular car. No hypermiling for me. Lol
No problems except for some interior rattles... but those are usually drowned out by the Harman Kardon stereo cranked up. 🤣

21k miles on it! My 2017 has 54k on it now! Only things done to it is tires, oil changes, and recalls. I do have the brake actuator farts but the dealership is giving me the run around on servicing it and fixing it. I also have 17" rims, running on continental purecontact LS Eco line. I get around 45-47mpg on this setup.

I would like to see Ioniq/Kona/Niro with N threatment and the new 1.6t hybrid system as an alternative to toyotas 2.0 and 2.5 litre hybrids. You have contacts to take this message to the factory? ;)

In my current 2017 Ioniq the sports mode is really enjoyable aplied in short intervals. Engine is loaded at higher ~3000k revs when partly trottle which can be noticed as the charge meters tops up faster. When pedal is pushed further the torque of the electrical motor is reversed instantly while engine is also on better rev range and load to push more power quickly. And when not flooring but keeping the car on ecozone of sport mode it is decently quick. I'm pretty sure the engine is still on map for efficiency as i found it not to increase consumption that much. Only when floored can be noticed its not a sports car where this 1.6t would come in.

I think the chr looks lot better, but the interior and practicality is alot better in the niro. Doubting to buy one of these 2, but reckon i will go for the niro.
