Realize this video is a couple years old, but wanted to point out that the piece of clear plastic that goes between the chipset and the disk drive is direction-specific. There are holes which line up with small rubber and metal nibs on the back of the chipset. I recommend placing the clear plastic piece on the back of the chipset prior to seating it in the SATA port. Otherwise, thanks for the great "how to" video.

Hi, I am really grateful for your videos on how to take apart and how to put the My Book Live back together. What do you suggest I do if the glue on the rubber square isn't sticking like it should? Apply some glue on it or fold a small piece of electrical tape over so the sticky side is on the rubber and the plastic enclosure?

Thanks for the video. If I am upgrading to a new larger drive, do you have recommendation what software to clone the image to the new drive?

What is the function of the rubber that you put at last? I think that rubber is loose in mine.
