Good idea and WD are great drives, but if you are worried about a drive failing I would look into redundant storage.I have DROBO with 4 drive bays and if one drive fails all i have to do is replace that one drive and all my pics and videos are backed up with out any files lost easy peasy.Thanks Maria love the videos

Great video though, I think that the future will be solid state flash drives though. Hard disks are too costly compared. Apple have pioneered the use of these in their laptops. Just a thought. Thanks for the reply, it's always a pleasure to watch your videos :)

I transferred photos to my WD My Book from my SD/ XQD card reader and the next day, not all the photos where there can you tell me why?

Yes GD is great! We use it alot but WD live is local storage you ultimately control.

Yes, Drobo is a great pro solution . We have one in our edit bay to store our video footage, photos etc
