Thanks for the review on this. I am mega impressed with BYD's offerings so far. You can understand why European manufacturers have got twitchy bottoms about Chinese EV cars. They will need up their game if they want to stay ahead new of brands to the UK like BYD.

Please keep us informed on the situation with GAP Insurance.
I have tried contacting the guys who have removed it and they seam totally unconcerned that they are affecting people's choice far more, by removing GAP Insurance than by letting people have the freedom of choice!! All freedom is removed, if there is no choice.

Amazing deal that I was talking to my parents about as that’s very good value compared to EV depreciation ! When I checked they have gone so someone clearly got an amazing deal. Maybe end of Month deal. Only 2 or 3 in-stock? Shame as clearly they would have sold a number of leases this evening if they had 20-30 in-stock !

Having a comically oversized tablet sticking out of the middle of the dash isn't a premium feature, it's a deal breaker. Those screens are a cancer in modern car design and will hopefully be legislated against in the near future.
If they absolutely MUST have a screen for a few basic features then it should be smaller and integrated into the dash because this one just looks atrocious.

I am sure this has the V2G charge and some energy suppliers are offering free electricity if you plug it in for a few hours a day

The ora cat price was recently slashed and now the atto 3 . It's going to be tough for BYD if they keep doing that to get a foothold. They might become the DFS of the car world where no one will pay the price until the third reduction.

Wow, that’s some offering. If this is what’s in the pipeline I can see why investors in Tesla are jittery about growth and profits.

Teslas are (atm) undoubtedly a superior product overall but as you said they will need to keep their pricing sharp to keep the value proposition comparable. European EV makers will really struggle to compete unless the government steps in to protect them.
