Restoring A $7,000 Mansion: Finishing The Basement Rebuild (Pt. 3)

Показать описание
My 1917 mansion's basement needed a complete rebuild. In an attempt to make the basement safer, stronger, and livable, over the past several months we have been rebuilding virtually everything and we are now on the final step, which is to install giant steel I-beams that will support most of the house. Today we are pouring concrete for the I-beams to be supported on. Once we get all the I-beams installed, we will be able to rip down the basement dividing walls and remove the center posts, which will turn the what-used-to-be 5-room basement into 3!

If you really enjoy this video, no need to worry, there is an incredible amount of mansion to be built! There will be many more videos to come!

I really don’t understand the fascination with these videos. I am a 77 year old granny, who never had anything to do with farming, home renovation, or shopping at Menards, but I sure enjoy these videos, and watching your family grow. Your outlook is great, and the love shows when you look at Nava and the boys. Keep up the enjoying videos.

I just wanted to say thanks to Roman for the heads up on the reciprocating blades. I went to my local menards and picked up 10 of them on sale. Thanks bud.

If you drill holes in those brackets, you could then weld through thw holes to give it more points of contact with the existing i beams. Only drill through the brackets. Not the beams.

Your family is the traditional farmer family that made America great I don’t know what happened but these days it seems like there are a few or fewer families that have the love for this country. I’m very happy I found your channel and it gives me hope again I love your family and I love your children. They’re so sweet, you’re a good father husband, a good child or your father and mother and a good brother peace to you and your family. God’s blessings always.

When I did my basement, one thing I suggest is by a special paint for I-beams preventing rust to get any worse. I took my ceiling down, then painted and then put the ceiling back up while I knew one so do it now it’s open.

Cooper is such a hard worker. It amazes me how much he knows about those farm machines. You all make such a great team, bringing in each other's talents to make it all run so smoothly.

With all the FILTH on regular tv and cable...its refreshing to watch wholesome content like this. ❤ Roman is a TREASURE. Needs his own feature when the build is done. May God keep blessing this whole tribe!

I got dizzy watching Cooper go around the Big Red machine telling what’s going on, possibly ?4-5 times, L.o.l. Coles out there, now he’s a fitter and welder ? L.o.l. I’m just jealous .

Cole that bit of prevention will give you peace of mind each and every day. Cooper, you, your Daddy and Zach are the men this country needs more of. So glad you are honest about what you want to handle on the farm and what is better to be "farmed" out. Cole you think of every possible issue.

Cole, the trick to finishing concrete is to not tilt the float or trowel when the mud is wet. Keep them as flat as possible. What this does is bring the cream to the top and sealing the top layer. When you tilt the tool you cut in to the surface causing it to become uneven..

Coopers knowledge is amazing❣️The whole cornstarch family and crew are top notch❣️ You can tell they really care about their equipment and none of them are afraid to learn. Also, they know when to call for help. One thing that scares me is the electricity… Whatever they decide I’ll be here watching.🤗💖🦋

I’m liking the updates from cooper. It helps break up the house work a little and gives us a sense of what’s going on with the farming.

Most Excellent Production. Lots of variety keeping everyone interested. A little bit of the house progress, a little bit of maintenance on the equipment, bins and anything else needed to grow the plants.

I just watched Roger reviewing your video on installing the plumbing, and he suggested you also install some venting pipes and something else. Might be worth your time to go and watch his review of your plumbing work. You are doing a great job so far and you are a credit to your family. This is such a fantastic renovation and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

Hello Cole, Great job in all that you accomplished today. Also great job done on all the maintenance on the farm equipment. I'm going to continue watching your YouTube channel, one because I'm interested in seeing how this restored house turns out. And I like watching the steps by steps of doing so. Looking forward to your next video Thank You.

Cole, don't hit the forms with a hammer to remove the air bubbles. Just hold the end of the vibrator up against the form. Faster, easier, and works great. It also is like tapping the form a thousand times or more a minute. This is just a suggestion that is discovered years ago pouring concrete on the farm and in the greenhouses. Love your diversity. I have stores in town farm and have 10 acres of greenhouses. Keeps you busy, but like you know, when one is slower, the others pick up the slack. Keep on hustling. Keeps you young!
