It's crazy because you'll spend hours making sure your hair is styled perfectly everyday. Whether it's perfecting a twist/braid out, sitting hours for braids, spending years growing locs all for people to tell you it's unprofessional. It's absolute insanity.

I think black women are so lucky to have the hair they have. It's always so curly, so fluffy, and so ridiculously versatile. It can be corn rows, afros, weave braids. It can bounce and fly away. It's so sturdy I've not ever met a black woman who's hair had fallen out from bleach or dye. I'm sure there are some out there, I just never met any. I perm my hair because I wish it was more like a black womans hair, all curly and gorgeous. Just let them wear their hair as they see fit.
