There’s this Brazilian woman who found an incredible way to recycle plastic bottles. She begins by cutting off the bottom part of the bottle and placing it on a device. When she spins it, it creates a long, thread-like substance that she winds around a spool. Then, she winds these threads around a rectangular object, like you see here. After that, she heats them in an oven for a bit. Once they’ve cooled down and slightly hardened, she cuts them into uniform-sized bristles that can be used for sweeping brushes. Isn’t that clever?

Great idea. I seen another man do this and created his own materials for his 3D printer. Simply innovative. Well done.

My grandfather used to say that if you can make do with what the other guy throws away you will never starve or do without.

Bro really used “thread like substance” but he already knows it’s plastic

A good idea.
Although, what happens when the fiber fell off?
probably harder to recycle..
Idk about somewhere else, but here in Southeast Asia, we often use coconut fiber, or any other natural materials that we have and convert that into brooms and others.

Sure, the durability is probably not as good, but that's one more thing to support local people and care a little bit about the environments.

This thread could be used for fence and even weaved as a patio furniture piece.

You can also use this technique to make your own plastic spools for 3D printing

They’re a young couple who moved from Central America to Brazil. He’s an engineer and started with this and they sell brooms but also make nylon cord. Really impressive! Now ppl are sharing their videos, but as their own to make money, that’s the young couple’s right, they’re poor and humble, showing the world their hard work

She’s working so hard! I would’ve stopped at the spool and sold it as fishing line 😅
