This was the best playlist I had ever come across on P&C. I started enjoying mathematics again.. And P&C is becoming one of my fav topic because of you guys. Before this I had to memories the formulae and will not really get the meaning of it, and eventually forget the formula. but now I don't even need to remember it it's just like I am making up the formula myself.

Thanks for the video. It was helpful and I don't intend to complain but I was hoping for some sort of proof on the formulae as well somehow because it says "Don't Memorise".

For anybody interested and looking for the same thing as I was. The Permutation formula can be derived from the combination formula at least.

Assuming when you select n people out of r people, that is C(n, r).
Now if you want to arrange these people in r seats, the first seat can be occupied by r people, 2nd can be occupied by r-1 people, 3rd by r-2 people and so on until the last seat that will be occupied by the last remaining person.
So the way to arrange these people over r seats would be r*(r-1)*(r-2) .... 1 = factorial(r) .
That is why P(n, r) is C(n, r) * factorial(r).
