So this is a beautifully written song first off. So moonchild is any person that is just in their own little bubble of cheesy romanticism. Often ignoring the harsh reality of life and accompanies/justified with comfortable lies. They are never certain of what they want in life..merely just a rambler on the path. All they can do is "see" and feel. Nothing else. The track does the impossible and artistically portrays them for what are almost all the time thinking...the guy(in the song) tells her to go and then immediately jumps to having a future with her and then literally the next line tells her to find another moonchild indicating that he never was sincere with his 'Love'
They never give room for the person to even breathe suffocating them with love.
"Did you really think I'd let you leave?"
They can be pretty negative in their outlook. "It's easier to kill the things than to grow."
This is their fundamental flaw. They just feel too much to even acknowledge the other person's soul. They can talk on and on and on and yet come off as shy
