I don't even live in the US, just like the way this fella talks about appliances.

We bought the SMEG 36" Free standing model about October last year. I wouldn't buy it again. I like how it's safer with the kids around. I like how if the cookware is not detected, it turns off. I wouldn't reinvest in it for the following reasons: 1- hate cooking with it as the center of the pot or pan is always hotter than the sides. 2- The oven is smaller and there is a lot of wasted space under without a warming drawer. 3- The oven features are are not straight forward, hard to operate. 4- The knob is graded 1-9 and it's not until you get to 7 that you get going with the heat. Nothing below that feels like a temperature that is efficient to cook at unless you're leaving the pot to cook slowly. SIDE POINTS: It's not true about the cook top not getting hot, it gets pretty hot. It does require a higher AMP and therefore we had to run a 50 AMP wire from the house control panel and that cost a pretty penny. Running the wire all the way from the garage, to the kitchen (approx 50ft. )

I found the Thermador Induction range oven lacks features that are important for doing serious baking. It is not possible to run the oven with the lower element only which is very important for making pies and pizzas. The upper element always comes on and must be blocked using a large baking pan on a rack under the top element if you want more heat from the bottom element.

After doing a lot of investigation it was a difficult decision between the Wolf and the Miele induction ranges. I chose the Miele because of the additional more sophisticated oven features even though it does not have a bridge hub. One thing about the Wolf oven is it is a bit easier to use than the Miele. The Miele menu is elaborate and not as direct for manual functions. Once you learn it then it is not such a big issue. In the high end ranges I think Wolf and Miele are the best two choices. In my home all our counter top appliances are Wolf. I found these to be the best in counter top appliances.

I looked at the Fisher and Paykel professional. It comes close to the Miele for all features and operation. When considering the price between the two, and the fact I have more confidence in a product designed and built in Germany vs China and Thailand, I decided I felt more secure with the Miele. Also, the Miele can have a longer warranty than the others, and it is a more refined product for operation and finish. I ended up buying the Miele 30 inch induction range with the 10 year warranty. Big investment for a stove, but I felt it is worth the cost.

If I was not going for such a high end range I would have gone with the regular bosh slide in induction range with the bridge hubs.

As for Thermador, after doing some research and evaluation, you get better value with the slightly lower cost Bosch when it comes to especially oven features. For general home use, it is very adequate if you don't have the budget to go with the Wolf or the Miele.

I’m still planning to get the 30 inch Fisher Paykel even though the oven is on the smaller side. We are renovating our house and our kitchen is on the small side and we are empty nesters so a smaller oven is fine for us.

I got wolf 36” induction, many problem with the burners, I can only use small pot or pan on high, the food either burns or steam is a lot more than cooking and only middle of the pot an small round spot gets hot, I am contacting wolf, hopefully they have trained technicians to fix it, the oven works perfect, I am getting ready to upload a video of exactly how the stove works since almost none of the videos are showing cooking on the stove

I am looking at getting a french door wall oven and separate induction cooktop but several models only provide digital touchscreen controls. Is this something I should be concerned about since if the touchscreen has an issue the entire unit is unusable? Specifically I am looking at GE Monogram and Viking or Bluestar. Thanks!

Great information! Our gas oven is getting a little long in the tooth and we're starting to look for an induction.

Great video. I am currently working with LG to replace or refund my induction range. The blue porcelain oven interior has chipped dramatically in less than a year of gentle use. I have read online that many other people have had similar issues and there are concerns with the safety of this blue porcelain lining chipping and the blue glass chips ending up in oven-cooked food. Have you noted issues with the blue oven lining? It seems the trouble areas are around the sliding oven racks and the lining peeling and chipping whenever the racks are slid or repositioned within the oven. I am considering whether to take a chance and replace it with another LG or look at other options for an induction range. Any feedback on your warranty claims regarding the LG blue interior, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for the video. I currently have an electric cooktop and am considering switching to induction. Do you recommend Miele above Cafe, Monogram, Bosch, Wolf or Thermador? I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you might have. I do a lot of cooking and always use several burners each time I cook. I love to pressure can, and usually run two canners at the same time but I’m not sure how this would work with induction. Any advice?

How about Fulgor Milano Induction Pro 36"?

The specs look incredible: 3000/3500W burners on 7/9" coils. Center burner can do 5500W on 11" coil. Knobs for adjustment. Oven is 5.7 cu ft.

I have to go with a 24” Bloomberg for my small place. Hoping it will be a good choice!

Would you recommend a separate induction cooktop and oven instead of a range. I just put a 30" wolf induction cooktop over a wolf m series oven in a guesthouse. However, I am now thinking about induction range in my primary home and a rental property that i own. However, it sounds like that i may be better off going with separate induction cooktop and oven for them as well. In both cases, i have to gut and redesign the kitchens given their ages and abnormal cabinet depths.

Please clarify the induction oven needing to be serviced every year?

I really enjoy your videos, so much information. Would really like to see if there is a difference in power usage because of a larger oven. There almost has to be an insulation difference.

Please clarify...in an earlier version of this topic, I think I remember the Wolf induction range being included in the best 6. Did something happen for it to lose its place or am I remembering incorrectly?

You always treat smaller ovens as a bad thing, but I’m wondering if these smaller ovens tend to be more insulative? Is there any universal metric for comparing how well these ovens insulate? That could mean a world of difference for someone who wants to bake in the summer without their house getting uncomfortably hot.

A dual fuel (induction with say 2 regular electric burners) would be nice.
