Beautiful work, but covering your fingers in latex would keep the oils from your skin off of the watch parts, for example the dial and hands which could end up being noticably smudged in certain light.

Hmmm...yeah I think I'll go ahead and keep the dial I have. Take something that far apart and it will never be the same, at least if I touch it.

Glass caseback makes the watch too thick.

Someone told me that by leaving the rotor off, you can change this movement from a self-wind to a hand-wind. Similar to the movement on a Komandirskie. Is this accurate?

I've got one of those glass case backs on my 710.  I just wish it didn't stick out so far.  Seems to make the watch set high on the wrist.

Not sure if at 45, with my eyesight and tremors along with the carpal tunnel op I had recently, not sure I can do this again. I did mess about with cheap watches a few years back, but now don't think I can manage. Great work. Those swiss army knives are sure capable in the right hands. LOL.
