Wow, that was AMAZING!!!! Here's everything good I can say about the game:
1. Seems like Sonic and his friends got new voices. I like them.
2. For the first time in the entire franchise, an open-world game. The ability to freely travel around the world has never felt so good. Sonic loves to run, and this game lets him run around the Starfall Islands freely.
3. Sonic maintains his iconic abilities from past games.
4. It seems that Sonic has the ability to use his Homing attack without jumping first. Speaking of which, I'm glad there are two separate buttons for the jump and Homing attack.
5. The combat system is impressive. After hitting a tougher enemy with a Homing attack, Sonic can follow up with a flurry of fast and sick moves.
6. Although the boost ability doesn't make Sonic go as fast as it used to, I can understand why. I've had plenty of times in Sonic Forces where the boost really screwed with my attempts to redirect Sonic's movement. The boost meter also recharges on its own!
7. Sonic will unlock new combat moves from the Skill Tree and rescuing his friends from their Cyber Prisons. All of them are just as fast and epic.
8. The Cy-loop is an interesting new mechanic. The loop must connect in order to work and it will flash red when the connection is complete. While exploring, Sonic can use the Cy-loop to solve puzzles and dig up buried treasure. In combat, it can be used to attack enemies and break their defenses when they guard, allowing Sonic to attack them directly.
9. Throughout the game, Sonic will collect Memory Tokens. These are actually required in order to progress as you need them to interact with Sonic's friends.
10.There are 4 different types of stats Sonic has: Speed, Ring Capacity, Attack, and Defense. They can be upgraded by bringing Seeds to the Hermit and the Koco children to the Elder.
11. If the ring count is maxed out, Sonic will be supercharged and his so will his boost meter.
12. The various guardians that patrol the islands have their own unique strengths and weaknesses. Defeating them will grant you Gears, which you will need for the Cyber Portals.
13. The Cyber Portals will take Sonic to Cyber Stages. These stages will make that classic nostalgia return as they will take you to simulations of some of the series' most iconic locations.
14. The grade system for the Cyber-stages is different. They grade you based on how fast you clear the stage.
15. Each Cyber-Stage has 4 challenges. Completing them will give Sonic additional Vault keys on top of the keys he gets from completing the stage. The keys are required for collecting Chaos Emeralds, Sonic needs to the fight the Titan bosses.
16. Another new ability Sonic has is the Parry move. By timing it just right, he can counter enemy attacks and reflect projectiles. Parried enemies will be stunned, leaving them open for Sonic to lay into them.
17. Every few in-game nights, the Starfall event occurs. During this time, dead enemies will be revived. On a brighter note, star pieces will fall from the sky and can be picked up and used for the Starfall Roulette Wheel. Perfect opportunity to gather Purple Fishing Tokens.
18. Fishing with Big the Cat is actually a fun and rewarding experience. Sega REALLY learned from their mistake with Sonic Adventure and make the experience easier and less frustrating. Every catch will grant you tokens which you can spend to buy items from Big.

Wow I thought my review of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope was the longest. Boy was I wrong, this was longer.

Finally! A full game video that doesn't skip out on THE END's shoot'em up final battle. Most channels seem to go straight to the QTE finisher and be done with it. Everything THE END says is pretty amazing and most people wanted to hear the epic music when fighting it

Eggman losing Sage was very reminiscent of Sonic losing Chip at the end of Sonic Unleashed but this loss was more heartbreaking than the other. It shows that Eggman really does have a kind heart deep down even though he rarely shows it.

I want to say I grew up playing sonic games as a kid the last modern sonic game I played was sonic unleashed so let me say as of current era this is probably the best sonic game out there right now. Story was entertaining and kept me hooked. There was lots of puzzles and they were all so diversed. The ability to run around islands and explore and continue the story at your own pace was nice. The music was kick ass. 10/10

You know, some points of this game remind me a LOT of Shadow of the Colossus. And the first area, Kronos Island, had me REALLY relaxed. The situation is dire, but the rain and music just has you leaning back in quiet peace.
