Thank you, heads up to people having problems with the latest firmware. Mine wouldn't let meupdate through app for my controller.The adapter for the micro SD wouldn't work either. BUT a separate USB DID using this above tutorial. I thought I was stuck till I tried the USB. Woo hoo. here we go new update!

Controller will in fact update through DJ GO. I had numerous issues using the same file I uploaded to the quad trying to upload to the controller via usb with no success; couldnt even get the blue light. The Quad was updated with the latest version. Took it outside like I was going to fly; calibrated first. Controller notified of update (leave quad on with no props) then reset controller after update. All Set!

my light never changes to blue i tried 3 differnt usbs and thumbdrives and sd cards and when i plugged the controller into the drone itself it is green but in the app it says not updated

My controller is not updating. i picked the 1.03.002 for the controller and the 1.04.001 for the P3 Pro as Dji site told me. but my controller wont do the update. what could i do?

Do you need a usb or can you use the controller with the usb connected to the drone. Also i only got green for my remote, and my drone is green in 2 lights but red on the other 2 lights. Someone please help me.

My Phantom 3 pro will not connect. It is out of date by about 2 years, but I can not find an update file anywhere. I tried with DJI assitant 2 but it fails. Could you please direct me where to find an update file

Is there an assistive software for the p3 like the p2 had? Why is it so much more complicated to update the p3??

Is it impossible to do this update without a USB adapter for the SD card? There must be another way surely?

Hi Irix, had to do a firmware update yesterday as suffering a ultrasonic sensor error. from that point my app has disconnected where the green gps box usually is and now cant see anything... have tired downgrading phantom and so on but cant get it to connect... have you suffered this or know of any fixes etc?

Note that now the controller is updated via the DJI Go app.
