I used this for my closing song at my retirement nearly 2 years ago from the military. I served 7 years Active Duty Marine Corps, 6 years Indiana Army National Guard and 25 years Air National Guard. I let everyone know that attended my retirement that I dedicated this song to all those that got me here. I wouldn't have been able to make 38 years without the good Lord FIRST, my Mom and Dad, my wife of nearly 39 years, my four sons, grandchildren, and so many other family, friends, fellow members of the military I served with. I love Cole Swindel music. Thankful I could serve this great country and all the support I was given.

Brings me back to growing up in Beaufort SC, going to school there, getting baptized twice in the same Church. I considered the guys i grew up with and graduated high school with my Brothers. Thanks Cole for another great song!

I thank the man upstairs who allowed me to start my journey. And the one who gave me all these supportive people in my corner. I can't thank you enough God 🙏

This song shows me you respect those who left the earth and we’re your biggest fans, that’s including my brother who introduced your music to my family and I. That’s why I’m here for you Cole. Never change we love you. Damn I bet those girls that broke your heart regret it. Glad I’m still with my husband and thankful for him everyday because he has supported me through out my life after high school. He’s a good man even though we’ve been through some 💩. Love your music Cole.

This song is so beautiful. Love every word of it. A lot of songs was playing on the radio but when this one came through I paused, and listened closely. Indeed, gotta be grateful to all who got us here.

This hits home. This time last year I was struggling. I have a ton of people who had faith I'd be somewhere someday. A year later I have the best job I've ever had. This is truly for the ones that got me here

I feel that Mr. Swindell captures what most folks who get up and go to work every day, fought/fight for their country and try and do the right thing every day.
