LYRICS:
It's perfect outside its like god let me dial up the weather
Got the whole crew here, I ain't seen some of them in forever
It's one of those never forget it, better stop and take it in kinda scenes
Everything's just right yeah except for one thing
You should be here, standing with your arm around me here
Cutting up, cracking a cold beer
Saying cheers, hey y'all it's sure been a good year
It's one of those moments, that's got your name written all over it
And you know that if I had just one wish it'd
Be that you didn't have to miss this
You should be here
You'd be taking way too many pictures on your phone
Showing them off to everybody that you know back home
And even some you don't yeah
They say now you're in a better place
And I would be too if I could see your face
You should be here, standing with your arm around me here
Cutting up, cracking a cold beer
Saying cheers, hey y'all it's sure been a good year
It's one of those moments, that's got your name written all over it
And you know that if I had just one wish
It'd be that you didn't have to miss this
Aw you should be here
You'd be loving this, you'd be freaking out, you'd be smiling, yeah
I know you'd be all about what's going on right here right now
God I wish somehow you could be here
Oh you should be here
Yeah this is one of those moments that's got your name written all over it
And you know that if I have just one wish it'd be that you didn't have to miss this
Aw you should be here
You should be here

My Dad died at age 61 with stage 4 cancer. He worked hard his whole life and never got that chance to enjoy a retirement. I miss him everyday. I'm thankful I still have my Mother. I wish I had both parents but I guess you can't have everything. Love you pop thanks for the life you provided for us as kids you were a great Dad. You didn't have alot of money but you always made sure your 4 kids went on vacation and had fun every year. I'll never forget what you did for us.

My husband lost his battle with cancer the year before my sons wedding - this was the perfect song for our Mother/Son dance ❤️ 💔

Mom passed away last year. I'm getting married this Saturday and instead of a mother-son dance, we are playing this song and leaving the dance floor empty, in memory of mom. <3

Thanks, Cole. Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of my wife. She passed from cancer three years ago, now it's just me and our three daughters that I'm doing my best to raise without her. Have this song in my head every time there is a major milestone with our girls, birthdays, dances, first boyfriends/broken hearts, or just how beautiful they look when they are getting ready for school. They look so much like their Momma. :(

Sorry for taking this long to say something. My goodness this song hits me in such a good way, I cry but happy memory cries, I'm the 11th child born, same mother and father and my goodness they were the best parents one could have, very loving, full of laughter, we never had much but all 11 of us never knew it because not having much but the love and caring we had could never compare to having it all. God bless mama and daddy, they gave us more than any money could buy. Thank you Cole for such a beautiful song. 😍 like I said, I cry listening to this song, but it's happy cries. 💜☘

I lost four loved ones this year. One, way too young. Passed so unexpectedly and too soon. The pain is so deep. You should be here Brandon.

I've always loved this song but one of my closest cousins passed away after only a 6 day fight with COVID today. And I just had to listen to this song. Went out to the pool to watch the sunset with a beer and this song and couldn't help but cry. RIP Jeanette. I love you more.

Awesome song, the very first time I heard it I was crying so hard I couldn't breathe, it brought me to my knees and made me think of everyone in my life that has passed over, especially my mom, we were in a fatality car accident back in 84 she died and I was only fourteen yrs old it's a really hard age to loose your mom when your a young girl your need your mom to teach you about girl stuff ya know make up, bras, periods, boys all that...but...she was gone, just like that...in the blink of an eye, I lost my whole world and I 've never been the same since. Yep, she should be here cuz she's got a lot of beautiful grandchildren she's missing out on but somehow I got a feeling that she drops in from time to time...just to get caught up on everything that's going on, I am sure she knows just how much she is truly missed. RIP Elvera Blanche Williamson Jan.9th 1984....love you mom..
