I would like to see more original big budget movies coming out, but it should be considered that people before 2000 were easier to amaze than people now. Just really, what is the truly original idea for the blockbuster that would amaze people now?
Also, original big movies come out pretty often, but they turn out to be mediocre (last year's Wish) or even awful (Snyder's Rebel Moon). For comparison, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish and Dune Part Two are both sequels, but they turned out to be much better than what I mentioned previously.
