My favorite proposal is the atmosphere balloon one. It's probably more practical than the laser one because it can take down multiple particles at once.... And the lasers also take up a LOT of energy, and may hit something else, and would have to be targeted very specifically at many thousands of pieces of metal, which is pretty ridiculous given the distortion caused by the atmosphere. The balloon one would just need a lot of energy, and would have very few other downsides.
