Great lesson this is my nemesis, but found by turning the shoulders and keeping a very light grip was key get rid of the tension. Also keep your eyes on the back of the ball and watch the ball being hit before raising your head really helped my chipping.Naturally the set up and weight favouring the lead foot all helps as you’ve stated. Many thanks guys!

It would be helpful if you can tell/show us how to hit chip shots from slushy lies. The ones you get where the ball lies on pure mud with no grass after a few days of rain. Very often we see the perfect lie from fringes/rough/semi rough on how to hit chip shots but none from horrible lies!

I finally just decided to take a putting stroke with a wedge and it works. I vary the length of the stoke depending on the distance. The only issue is that it will always roll out.
