I own the SCHD and SPHD combo as my primary DGI ETFs. Own a little VYM but don't add to it anymore. Really enjoyed the overlap tool...will check it out. Thanks!

Cool to circle back to this one after starting a position in SCHD. After going mostly tech, I've been slowly layering in ETFs now that there's a 401k in play. Thanks for covering these ETFs. I'd have chosen the SCHD based on this video.

I love the idea that this guy does not weasel word his opinion. He tells you straight up which one he likes. So many analysts will give you so many what if‘s that their opinion is worthless. This guy tells it like it is and I appreciate that.

Personally, I chose SCHD and DGRO as my dividend ETFs. I also like VIG. Not a fan of the VYM selection methodology.

Thanks for the great video, Eric! Planning to add SCHD to my Roth sometime soon. I like the mix of blue chip and tech in SCHD. And it seems to have a large amount of healthcare, which my portfolio could use more of and might be helpful if we do go into a recession.

One more thing - I like SCHD better than VYM and have SCHD in my portfolio - because SCHD is good for bull market and for bear market. What do I mean by this -

SPY now - is 51 % up in the last 5 years and
23 % down YTD
SCHD - 52 % up in the 5 years and 13 % down YTD
VYM - 24 % up in 5 years and 11 - 12 % down YTD
With other words SCHD and VYM are performing almost the same In a bear market with 1 % difference YTD
But SCHD has double better results in a bull market than VYM.
SCHD even outperforms the SP 50O with 1 % in the last 5 years.
That sounds perfect to me - SCHD slightly outperforms the market in a bull market but lose significantly less money is a bear market.
