Hot Boxer? How about Vape-Boy 2000? No? How about an unpronounceable, vaguely Egyptian symbol and call it "the tech formerly known as Vapor Chamber"?

@icavedave #icaveanswers Do You think due to the current geopolitical situation Russia could be BANNED from Apple hardware ?

iCave Answers: MacOS Utilities/Activity Monitor "Command Key #4" -- "Apple M1 Max (Built-In)", notation in the GPU History Tile ... Does that mean that Apple has an external GPU in the works for M1???

#iCaveAnswers What benefits would a faster Neural Engine bring to notebooks and desktops? A15 ANE performance is up 40% from A14, so M2 might also get the faster engine. What is it good for? Would (i)Mac Pro make use of multiple ANEs (second ANE on M1 Max seems to be deactivated)?

My Android device is an ancient Kindle Fire. That's whole show by itself. Amazon puts a lot of non removable bloatware on the device. I do appreciate the fact that I can load movies and music on an SD card for offline travel though. But I had to find a work around to install the Google Play store to get the Chrome browser, Netflix, etc. The only reason I cheated on my iPad was storage (and the fact that my iPad is old too and no longer functioning well to browse the web). I have no use for Android otherwise, and I am sure the flavor of Android in the Kindle is less than ideal.

On the Samsung phones I've experienced in the past, there was also a lot of bloatware. I hope that has changed.

I have a confession: I use Android hardware. I have a Nexus 7 on my desk. It's only job is to display the time. Yes, it's a clock. Oh, the shame!

I wonder what percentage of Apple total sales is generated in Russia itself and the CIS in aggregate? Is it significant or a rounding error? Given the level of technology in the products, the US government might just ban further sales to Russia/CIS including Apple products as well as products containing the Google Android OS.

"I used android phone 5-6 years ago"

Well, android has evolved since then
Like, you wouldn't say that the argument "Oh, I used iPhone 2g once, didn't like it, so I have experience with iOS" is a valid argument

Android hands itself more like a pc, so you have fair share of customization, tinkering and stuff, but if you don't want to do it, you certainly can use it just as you would use your iPhone

Nvidia dont have any choice there. I'd sayt this is a good thing for the UK, although ARM management may need to be changed given there preference for Nvidia sale.

#iCaveAnswers looking at Apple release rumours, do you still think we’ll see an annual chip refresh for all levels of device? Or do you think we might see a tick-tock release for ‘pro-level’ chips?
Also, love the hat!

Context: are you expecting A15-based M2 variants across the board this year? M2 iPad Pro in spring 2022, M2 Pro/Max MacBooks Pro in Q4 2022?
Or are we more likely to see annual refresh of A-series chips with an 18 month to 2 year refresh of M series chips in the way that we did the old X variants?
