OLD SCHOOL FRESH BLACK EYED PEAS& BEEF SHORT RIBS( MADE IN AN INSTANT POT)

This is a very quick method to cook fresh black eyed peas and beef short ribs at the same time
This method in the instant pot will make the peas perfectly tender and the beef ribs fall of the bone tender

RECIPE:
1 LB fresh black eyed peas
5 large bone in beef short ribs
1 large onion chopped
3 tsp chicken bouillon powder
2 quarts water
Place ribs in instant pot
add onions and peas
add chicken powder and water
place lid on pot and set on meat setting for 90 minutes

Enjoy with old school cornbread and old school chow chow

No better taste than fresh black eyed peas. Yummy 😊. On the farm grandmama had us pick then shell them and cook with fatback and serve over rice with side of fresh blood red tomatoes. I can smell them cooking now. The gravy they made on their own was awesome and loved eating with cast iron cooked cornbread. Omg !! Thank you for sharing this Chef!!!! Lol. When you opened that lid right before you said about too much water I said the same thing. But what I would do sometimes is save the pot liquor And use it to cook the cabbage 🥬. So that the next day I could have cooked cabbage and black-eyed peas and cornbread. That’s some farm cooking right there. ❤❤❤
