Moderator: Lainie Rutkow is Senior Adviser to the President for National Capital Academic Strategy, a professor in the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the School of Medicine.

Beth Blauer and her team at the Johns Hopkins Centers for Civic Impact specialize in helping policymakers and elected officials use data to inform decisions. Working in collaboration with data scientists and public health experts, Beth and her team take raw COVID-19 data and transform it into clear and compelling visualizations that aid policymakers and the public in understanding the pandemic and making evidence-based decisions about health and safety. Dr. Brian Garibaldi is an associate professor in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, where he attends in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and the Interstitial Lung Disease clinic. He is medical director of the Johns Hopkins Biocontainment Unit (BCU), a federally-funded special pathogens treatment center. He is also the associate program director of the Osler Medical Residency Program, where he leads curriculum development and implementation.

Dr. William Moss is a Professor in the Departments of Epidemiology, International Health and Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Executive Director of the International Vaccine Access Center, and a Deputy Director at the Johns Hopkins Malaria Research Institute.

Dr. Jennifer Nuzzo is a Senior Scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, an Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering and the Department of Epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a Senior Fellow for Global Health at the Council on Foreign Relations. An epidemiologist by training, her work focuses on global health security, with a focus on pandemic preparedness, outbreak detection and response, health systems as they relate to global health security, biosurveillance, and infectious disease diagnostics. She directs the Outbreak Observatory, which conducts, in partnership with frontline public health practitioners, operational research to improve outbreak preparedness and response. Dr. Nuzzo is also the lead epidemiologist for the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 Testing Insights Initiative housed within the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center.
