NASA Astronauts Sunita Williams, Barry Wilmore To Return in 2025 With SpaceX

Astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore, who have been stranded in the International Space Station for over two months, will return to Earth in February 2025 with a SpaceX vehicle. They took off on June 5 for what was supposed to be an eight-day mission, but will now spend around eight months in orbit. Their spacecraft, Boeing’s Starliner, faced issues on the way to the International Space Station, including helium leaks and malfunctioning thrusters. NASA said the Starliner will return to Earth without crew onboard in September. NASA's astronauts are set to return in February 2025 aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft. The mission, launching next month, will now carry only two passengers, with two empty seats for astronauts Wilmore and Williams.
