My grandfather grew up in those fields his whole life and worked them until the day his body gave out. Now I’m the first member of my family to go to college. I’m a senior at UOP in Stockton. This story just hits home on so many levels. I’m honored to be watching an early showing on Aug 30 at the University, in which he will be attending 🧡 ✊🏾 🇲🇽 Si Se Puede!

This movie should be mandatory to watch in High school. I love this movie everything about it the parents relationship as a couple and with their children, the relationship between cousins, siblings, the teacher but Specially the relationship between Jose and his Adelita. This movie is so inspiring, emotional, motivating. MUST WATCH ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I cant wait to watch this movie. He's from my hometown. He was one of my middle school teacher best friends. She wouldn't stop talking about him being an astronaut. You can tell she was very proud of him. She would even call him in class for us sometimes too. I remembered back when he was first going out to space she was so proud of him. She even record it on tv for us and show it the next day.

This movie gave me the push I needed when I was beaten down by racism, backstabbing, being overlooked for promotions, and all the condersending comments from the day I came to Australia as a migrant. I will push forward and achieve 💪

I had the pleasure of listening to Jose Hernandez speak last year, about his story and keys to reaching your goals. He said to never stop giving back to your community. Truly inspiring! Glad to see the movie is coming soon!

My Parents are both immigrants. Mom came from the Dominican Republic my father escaped the Civil War in El Salvador in the 80s. I graduated a few years ago with a Masters in Computer Science top 10 in my class. Seeing another Latino Engineer make it shows the importance of dreams and determination. The symbolism of him looking down at his dirty hands as a child and then fast forward to clean hands once he is educated is crazy deep. It's not how you start its how you finish. Que viva Latinoamerica <3

“This may not be your future, but it will always be your past” - that hit home… and something i will pass down to my son. I grew up watching my parents work the fields and picked lemons every summer with my father. Today I’m an engineering manager for one of the largest space defense subcontractors of the US government. También, de Michoacan para el mundo.

The best thing about this trailer is that a lot of us can relate to the experience. I'm the first person in my bloodline (for at least the past 100 years) to have come to the UK from Afghanistan and get a degree in Computer Science (+ a top 5 student in the whole Engineering department) at one of the most prestigious university in the UK and be fortunate enough to work in a large tech company. Less than 5% of my bloodline ever managed to learn to read and write at primary school level at best - and not a single one has ever gotten a degree in any field.

Honestly, if i can break boundaries while being from a war-torn, uneducated and one of the poorest nation on the planet you definitely can if you develop that hard work mentality that those from unfortunate countries are raised with. Just keep trying and you'll achieve what you seek.

Thank you for making this movie for all of us Latinos who's parents sacrificed so we could have the opportunities they could never have in their mother countries. I think of the courage and determination of my parents everyday and try to not dishonor them.

Love that Jose Hernandez is getting a biopic. Folks who are first generation Latino can relate to this so story so well, especially if you’re the first one in your family to obtain a degree. You’ll face a lot of challenges in your journey long the way but always do it for your family. Dream big kid, aim for the stars 🚀💫 échale ganas

As a descendant of immigrants, I am thrilled that films like this are spotlighting remarkable stories I can identify with. I look forward to seeing this film bring Jose's journey to life.
