Amazing to think that not only is this Suzu's moment of reaching out to both her mother and the beast but I also feel that this is Suzu's moment when she understands why a stranger's life was so important to her mother, as the beast is still no more than a stranger to her, his life has become so important to her as well.

For everyone who lost a parent at a young age and can't seem to understand the logic behind it, this song just hits differently. Just watched the movie with my daughter who lost her dad a year ago, me also trying to deal with the loss of my life partner of 10 years. It even opens up the wounds of losing my own father when I was 9. I tell you it's a broken world... I often just hide my own pain and tears to be strong for her. 😭

This is just my opinion, she's singing this with her mother in her mind, expressing her longing and pain. But as the scene goes on, ( the flashback part where she tried to stop her mother) and she suddenly stopped singing, i think that's the time she finally understand her mother's decision to save that child. She finally understand why her mother chose to take the risk. She finally understand because that's what she also want to do for Beast. She took the risk to be unveiled, knowing that her whole identity will be shown to the whole U world. She took the risk because she is her mother's daughter 🌼.

Having lost my mother to cancer, this movie and this song especially hit hard. I cry every time i watch Belle. My mother was a singer, and it was her influence that I too wrote and composed music. After she passed, I struggled to sing and write music...She wasn't there to hear my songs anymore. When i had my baby a year after she passed, i couldn't even sing to him without thinking of my mother and how she would sing to me. It was too painful

This scene made me cry. I was crying when I was in theaters. I saw it in Japanese and honestly, I think understanding the lyrics more and hearing it through a voice so similar to the JP made it feel more impactful. Lend me your voice gave me goosebumps, but this song brings the tears.

I just saw the movie last night and omg. It is SO GOOD. THE SONGS, THE PLOT, THE CHARACTERS. This movie is just a masterpiece. I’ve watched it a million times over and over again. I even listen to the soundtrack

The whole song is sooo beautiful but my favorite part has to be from 6:07 to the end. The theme change from a soft ballad to a powerful ending is just so amazing. The last 2 minutes of this song always gives me the most chills.

Ever since I lost my dad I have stopped doing musical theater and the thought of preforming in front of people was paralyzing and this film has moved me on such a deep level especially when it’s directed to an abused boy. It’s limped it was written for me. Everyone should see this movie even if you don’t like anime try it it’s so heart wrenching at least for me.
