How to download Cheat Engine 7.5 without Bloatware/Suspicious Installer

Cheat Engine is a tool that allows experiencing single-player games in ways beyond the developer's intent (or maybe the way the developers wanted but marketing shut down?). Obviously, don't use this in online or multiplayer games.

my favorite thing about it is the programmer behind it just constantly complains how everyone is dumb and how it's not his fault that windows and all other standard antivirus see the one he makes available as a virus, and you can just "compile it yourself"... and when you do, it is no longer a virus, it's almost like he puts shitware in it to force people to go to patreon

to all the recent people coming here to say that it didn't work, he renamed the video to 7.5, the version he is using in the video is 7.4, he could have renamed it to make people keep coming back to this video.

I have a problem - I cannot even download Cheat Engine (the default one, ) because my Windows detects all the garbage on it and disallows the download. Any fix for that? I've tried messing around with the permissions and disabling security, but it didn't help. Windows really, really hates this damn thing.

bruh even the compile it yourself version has viruses... i really wanted to use a newer version of ce but every version has some kind of virus that you need to either remove yourself or carefully say no to.

I mainly only use cheat engine for spore- and even then its only for the speedhack and address changer.

Spore doesn't like modded captains, but I do so..

When I try to download the source code, my antivirus detects it and it doesn't download what do I do?
