In case the resolution is jumping back to the previous values each time after playing you should just change the fullscreen value to false. It should work.

In this case you should just change the fullscreen value to false. It will then work. You can then manually switch to full screen (ALT+Enter).

I found the fix. I found the solution. Apparently, the fix is in the "system" folder where you installed your game, and then edit the file.

yes i am sure... i even tried out to save the File.... in the game 800x600 -.-

can some1 help me i tabbed out of f1 2012 once and then it plays in a small window and i cant restore it.Does any1 know how i can fix it? i have the steam version.

im sorry but..you have to change the properties to read-only file..otherwise, the resolution will change back.. :D

Doesn't work. Waste of time for folks with grayed out buttons for resolution.

nope... its still 800x600 in the Game-.-

in the file hardwaresettings are 2 resolutions make sure you change the correct ones look good in my video i can make a video for you to let you see it worked for me

There's an easier way. In the main menu, go to My F1, go to graphics then adjust your resolution there
