Why didn’t thailand get conquered, because the British told them if they didn’t follow suit to their way, they would crush them, so thailand followed suit . The French also were here in thailand and gave part of it back to them! So technically they did get taken over but not by force!

Iran was a British protectorate for 250 years.
If it wasn't for the British it would have been occupied by the Russians or the Ottomans for centuries.
Just like Georgia Armenia Kazakhstan Uzbekistan, Tajikistan etc...

At least not officially.

Japan was nuked, occupied and kissed American asses in any way they wanted.

Thailand had the luck to be the buffer between french and british colonizers but lost chunks of territory to both sides... And got occupied and colonized over the history by the Burmese, Laotians, Khmer and Malaians, not to talk about Portuguese and French trading settlements / colonies.

Persia may not be colonized by Europeans but by many other people, including muslims, and we all know that the last Shah was only a hand puppet of the Americans.

1) Liberia was colonised. By black american free men and some whites. They oppressed the native africans to a huge degree, comparable or worse than in other african colonies.

2) the Ottoman Empire was seen as a European power. So no they weren't colonised, but in the same way that Austria-Hungary wasnt. They were a European power.

3) Iran (which was never really called Persia, that's a Greek word) was effectively colonised. It was a British protectorate.

4) Japan, although not European, falls into the same category as Turkiye, where it wasnt colonised, because it was the coloniser.

5) Afghanistan wasn't colonised and enjoyed much more freedom than Iran while so.

And there's more things wrong that i dont feel like typing out. He really keeps delivering with his plain wrong historical takes.
