For people asking about Iraq. In 1991. The UN coalition had one objective. Librate Kuwait. But the USA didn't Care about Kuwait. It wanted to invade all of Iraq with the help of the UN coalition. But they refused and Said: we only want to liberate Kuwait. The USA gave them the middle finger and decided to do it alone. But Iraq managed to hold the lines and kick the USA out. It was a win for the UN coalition but a defeat to the USA. That's why the USA returned but with trusted allies to take down bagdad.
