Jodi Arias wants prison leave for funeral

Jodi Arias may file for a prison leave to attend her fathers funeral.

Jodi was hoping for a field trip. She was very cruel and disrespectful to her parents, siblings, and extended family.

I hate to be that horrible person..but she should have thought of that before she slaughtered another human being..she put herself in prison..while you are in there the world keeps turning out here..you want the rights of the average citizen then I guess you should have acted like somebody.

How awful of jodi to try and use her dad's death to get a break from prison life after she threw him under the bus during trial.

Denied. She has no rights. She has been given much consideration despite her actions both before the trial and during the trial. And, the manipulating and untruths continue. Don’t give her an audience.

If inmates must remain in the state then that would rule Arias out. Don't think her parents moved to AZ. Though, certainly, Arias is trying to manipulate her mom into having a service in AZ so JoJo can get a field trip.

Why can't she attend the funeral by video link? She should pay for the cost of the prison leave by working 275 hours in a prison factory.

She is not allowed to attend out of state funerals. She is SOL.

►Inmates are eligible for escorted leave only within the boundaries of the State of Arizona.
►Inmates may apply for an escorted leave for a bedside visit for serious illness or a funeral viewing, but not both.
►Funeral leave to attend a viewing of deceased immediate family member shall only be
approved for funeral homes and/or mortuaries. Visits shall not be approved for private
residences, graveside services, or to attend church services.
►Funeral visits shall not be approved for a closed casket, or in the event the body has already been cremated
►Inmates housed at Department and/or private prison facilities shall be required to reimburse the Department for expenses incurred during the escort. The CO III or CO IV submitting the Inmate Escorted Leave Application form shall calculate the costs. The salaries of the escorting officers as well as the travel /mileage shall be requested from the inmate's family.
