I am a survivor of ARDS. I got an infection from a tongue piercing and it ended up in my heart and then ARDS hit. I spent two months on life support. My husband wax deployed to Iraq at the time. I was so close to death they sent him home. Obviously i kicked ards ass. 😊

Once they put you on the ventilators.. Almost no one comes back from that. The ventilators seem to make it even worse

I got it from a Doctors waiting room and it's horrendous. Took me 2 months to fight it off with cortisone and anti biotics etc. Don't wish it on anyone! Bronchial asthma, bacteria in nasal passages inflamed sinuses was the tail end of it.
