This is great dude! Just bought the 5150II because the original 5150III I wanted with the new concentric pots was sold before I could grab it. I have the Boss GT-8 and can't wait to get presets loaded and now know how to adjust for the volume jump and still have all my tones available and effects etc.
Thanks man!!!

Thank you for the video. I just bought the evh iii head snd solved the volume jump by using a gsp 1101 with the 4 cable method. Great amp.

Thanx for the video!! i 'm thinking about bying this amp... because i think this is the only amp which has a fender like clean and a great gain channel...
And i own a GT10 (which isn't a tone sucker) and now i know that switching channels with midi works like a charm!

Pretty sweet! If I understand correctly, you assigned a preset to your green clean channel volume to be boosted, and another for your blue crunch channel volume to be lowered via the multi effects master volume, running in your amp's effects loop. Is this correct?

Can you program it the same with a BOSS ES-5 ?

does every model of the 50w have the volume drop issue? that would suck to have to buy something to compensate that as I just ordered my 50w.

Can we use a pedal switcher like disaster dpc 8-ez to fix the volume jump issue ??

Hi!
Does the midi control remember also the gain setting (i'd like a difference beetween chan 1 and 2) or it's only about volume and EQ? thks!

great, just what I needed to see, BTW you think the gt100 will work the same way? I'm planning on buying the evh5150, I currently have a gt100 I use for effects and to switch my amps Channel, I'm just not sure if it will work with that amp.

Is the boss gt6 multy effects pedal board conected to the effects loop of the EVH 5153 head or its insert or imput please reply I'm trying to do this with my Fender mustang floor, I cannot find any youtube information about Fender floor with EVH, but I'm almost positive I'm doing something wrong since it does midi as well, maybe my connection is wrong.🤔

Great review my friend.
I have a question, does the EVH 5153 w 50 foot pedal need to be disconnected, or if connected would it affect this. procedures, and can I still use the EVH pedal?
I'll appreciate your help brother :)

Dumb question but does it remember what settings you have?

I fixed the problem now on Fender mustang floor thanks to your valuble information, and now it is switching chanels like it suppose just like in your video via midi, but now the problem I have in my green which is the clean from ny mustang floor is that I don't know how to level the green channel's volume to match the blue and red, I looked in to the midi software and nothing there to solve this low volume problem my friend. Do I need an equalizer in the effects loop, or did I forget to do something in the midi before incerting the green channel on my clean preset? Don't get me wrong, now it is switching just like in your demo here on YouTube now, but my clean channel which is green has a volume problem that I need to fix to level it with my blue and red channel.
Once again any information will be appreciated, thank you my friend.

Is it possible to get a midi switcher to be able to switch channels and also enable certain pedals all in one button stomp. I have reverb pedals that I want to be able to use when I switch to the clean channel but I don't want to be tap dancing.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but does this save all the settings or just the volume? I'm looking into buying one of these heads but am put off by this issue as I have not owned a head before and I'm really not that good at this stuff so I'm afraid to buy something but then have to fix it because I have no clue haha. But yeah, since ch1 and 2 eqs are shared, can you say for example find a nice clean, save that, then completely change eq on ch2 and save that and it'll sound that way no matter what your levels on the head are at?

could you do the same with a Midi controller (Like a Tech 21 mouse)?
