Since everyone is struggling with the same questions, I repost my response:
The Bible is not a historical book, it is a biography. The characters in the Bible are different states of the mind. Jesus himself said that he was dwelling within each of us as our wonderful imagination with which we create our reality. Your true reality lies WITHIN you, and what you mostly impress your subconscious mind with will always be crystalized into your 3D where it becomes visible to you. Your 3D is an illusion and only a reflection of your past thoughts, beliefs and feelings. People just need to accept the fact that we are an inseparable part of God - the I AM, stop looking for solutions in the 3D and take responsibility WITHIN. God, divine Source, once had the desire to experience himself, and therefore incarnated into human flesh. You are not your body, thoughts nor feelings - your body is only a school uniform while you're here gathering experiences and expand on earth. You are God, we all are. There is no separation, we all are ONE and we need to wake up and remember this.

In this case one would have to look into the teachings of the Bible and see all the things the god of the Bible did and taught. The god of the Bible influenced our entire western society and was the basis for literacy throughout history. The god of the Bible teaches love, discipline, forgiveness and mercy. A being that had no reason to give mercy gave it. We had no leg to stand on. To think I am a god is without a doubt dangerous and silly. I’m no god nor should anyone claim to be.
