This is great. As for video, I am having a very hard time getting my 7D's videos in focus. Any videos on setting up video/focus settings for capturing video clips of action sports? Thank you!

Danny, instead of using two buttons (AF point selection button + M-fn button) to change from expand to spot focus, I tried assigning the AF Area Selection Lever to the task, but it doesn't do anything. The thing I'm trying to accomplish is to photograph while BIF with 5 point expansion, and when the bird lands in a tree, to isolate it from the branches. How can I do this without having to use both the AF point selection button + the M-fn button?

This all makes sense generally. However I'm still a bit puzzled by something. Are the different cases of much benefit when using single point auto focus in back-button focusing? Shooting sports i put my single focus point on my subject then keep backbutton pressed to track, however, the subject isn't tracked across the screen if it moves, i needed to change where the point is manually across the frame worth the joystick and then back button to acquire focus again OR try to focus and recompose as fast as i can. Am i doing this correctly? The video suggests that i don't need to be navigating/ moving the focus point manually across the frame as the subject moves throughout the frame.

Hi Canon, perhaps you can help me. I've just bought the Canon 7d MII, and I've been trying to do some milkyway time lapse, but I cannot go beyond 15 seconds after setting the main aspects in M mode. Am I doing something wrong or is it that this camera can only reach 15 seconds max being "open" when taking the photo of the MWay? Thks in advance for your help

I hope canon can improve the viewfinder as its really small...i wad planning to buy 80D...but ill go for 7D MARK 2 cause of its bigger view finder...pls canon try to improve the VF in the new models and make it bigger with fast AF...thx

Danny. On my 7D markII, in modes P, Tv, AV, M, and B I have a single focus point is locked 2/3rds to the right through the view finder? I cannot understand why it is not in the center of my view. Is there a setting I've missed or messed up here? In the other modes (C3, C2 and C1) the single focus square moves to the center. What's up with this?

My camera says "this function is not available during Live view shooting” when I press the physical AF button in the upper right of the camera. As in this video at 2:00 shows.... my camera does not seem to do this. Any suggestions on how to get it to show on the LCD screen? As it is right now it only seems to work through the Viewfinder.

Got a quick question. While shooting in the Green Auto Mode, I've noticed my action shots are getting blurry while shooting in the high speed cont mode. I always thought that the auto focus would be focusing continuously while shooting in this mode. Not true. It only focuses on the first shot or do I have a setting turned off? PS Most shooting is in the Auto mode and some in the Av mode with the Bracketing on.

When I press the AF drive mode button or the AF point selection button, the menu should appear on the back screen. But it does not appear. I can only change settings using the top LCD or the view finder. How do I solve this?
