My math teacher believes in "productive struggling" aka he doesn't show us how to do anything step-by-step. This video helped me learn so much! Thank you and I'm definitely recommending your channel to my friends!!!!

Once again, being the best at what you do! Thanks, Mr. Tarrou! Curiously, I found that working with ellipses was not as difficult as I originally thought. I could do all my exercises and even found an equation for the orbit of the Earth around the Sun. Nothing beats that nerdy feeling!

I don't think I have done a video with that example...but you plug each of your thee points into the general form to set up three equations. Then you can use matrices with either the Gaussian Elimination Method or Determinants to solve for D E and F. I have videos for solving three variable systems. There are other methods of solving but I don't have videos for those. I hope this helps.

No I don't, but if you go the homepage of my channel you can use the magnifying glass under my banner to search just my channel. I can tell the way YouTube is working for me, Google is doing some kind of updates or something as well. It keeps changing my login to another Google + account I don't use for my math channel:/ Thank you for watching and your support though:D

Thank you so much for all the videos you've been making! When I don't understand something in class I know that I have these videos to help me. Learning from your videos actually makes me enjoy doing math, which is extraordinary considering how much I've despised it in the past! You also have helped me get the A's that I've earned in class, so thank you very much for your videos.

Going through your conic sections, they are very helpful. The first time we were introduced to them, we were literally handed worksheets and told to study them and do example problems on our own. It was terribly confusing. But this clears it up. :)

Fun story, a kid in my class would pronounce "foci" as "fo-chi" and while it annoyed the heck out of me, it would make me laugh all the time. Thanks again!
