The torture method I always felt very scared about was the one that involved being trapped in a metal bull and then a fire was put under the bull and the victim would be cooked alive. That, and being buried alive :(

Some honourable mentions:
1) I read this one in Orchid, Last Empress of china. The victim's arms and legs are amputated and cauterized while the body is placed in a barrel of water. They could be fed milk and honey so their feces would mix with the water and they digest in their fluids
2) This one is done as punishment for certain crimes in some villages. Leather belts are soaked in water and the victim is whipped then covered in salt and hot caramel or honey
3) Again from a village; the victim is left to sun burn then covered in salt. A goat is brought in to lick off the salt...brutal

Not a torture method, but a tribe in the Sudan region is known to have participants of their eating festival die of over eating. They eat until their stomachs rupture in their bodies. They consider it an honourable death.

I remember seeing a version of scaphism at a dungeon exhibit, I guess kinda combined with the obilette, with blocks of wood keeping you in place and unable to see your body, placed around the legs and a second your chest, this would force bugs or rats who were dumped in at your feet to work their way through your entire body slowly with no other way to get around.

I think worst one is the mankurt torture. The legend of the mankurt essentially described how to create ideal slaves by erasing their memories. A raw camel hide, known as the shiri, was divided into several pieces and was stretched over the shaven head of the captured victim. The prisoners were then left out in the steppe without food or water under the blazing sun. If they had not already perished from dehydration or starvation, the drying out of the camel skin created an insufferable pressure on the skull and their growing hair couldn't cross the camel skin so turned back into their head. Of the few that survived this ordeal, the Zhuan Zhuan (proto-Avars) believed they would create a slave who would never yearn to return home or revolt against his master because of saving from this ridiculously painful torture. Mankurts were given the most difficult and loneliest labor as they had lost all reason and community.
There was a film named Mankurt mentions this torture.

This is missing one important factor of the breaking wheel: after the victim's limbs were smashed, they would often be woven through the spokes of the wheel.

I believe keelhauling actually involved having your legs tied, then the rope wrapped around the entirety of the ship's hull and then having your arms tied with it. So it's kinda like you're a bracelet for the ship in a way. Anyway, when that's done, they'd just start pulling on the rope, so you go tightly around the ship until either the rope breaks, which means you're in luck and will likely drown or die in sea, or until you come back to the deck. If you do manage to survive one trip more will likely follow 😬
