Thanks for the tip. Most videos even carbides show for a older version of Carbide Create (at least doesn't work for my version) very clear and easy to follow

Hey Chris, thanks for the video on bits, if possible, would like to understand more on how to figure out the ranges for speeds and feeds for a specific bit. I bought a new bit for cutting out a juice groove in cutting boards but not sure where to get the S&F's for this particular bit. Thanks again.

I was wondering how to add a TAPERED spiral 3D carving bit to Carbide Create tool library. Do you just load it as the size of the tip or need to take the angle of the tapper into account? This video really helped, I would never have known not to do the angle off of center.

Great content Chris. All your videos are very informative and you've definitely helped me up my CNC knowledge and abilities. I'm stuck on adding what I believe is a forstner (Unsure if that's correct spelling?) type bit (It's actually a 1/4" shaft with 3/4" head Straight cut bit from Irwin) into the system to use as sort of a planer since I don't have one. I know this can be done, but I wanted to ask how you determine your feeds and speeds? I've watched your other video on that as well, but either missed it or couldn't find what I was looking for. Is there a spreadsheet or directory that lists what bits require what? What parameters would you put in for this? Any help is appreciated! Thanks.

Hello... Trying to add New bits from carbide create but it won't let me change values even in the duplicate library... And wanted to ask i'm using metrics and it seems impossible to add a coma to some numbers

Hi Chris, I've tried some CC Pro 3D carves using a 3mm (also tried setting up 6mm& 8mm bowl cutting bits endmill for roughing & 3mm Ball for final. However, setting stepover to 1.5mm I get large stepover ripped, scoloping. I've set 3D stepover down to 10%, 2D stepover down to 0.5mm. but I'm still getting scoloping. Have you any hints on what numbers to set please?

Is there anyway I can add the an old tool to the new Carbide Create? For example I have my 90* bit listed as bits and bits 90* that I use for carving stars on unions for flags. When I upload the files with that bit already there the times are much faster than starting a new union with smaller stars and the 90* bit that's in Carbide Create now.
