This clip-on device checks your blood pressure without needing a cuff. We tried it as CES 2023.

We need to see a side-by-side comparison test with an arm cuff tester to see how accurate it is; I'm surprised the company didn't have a arm cuff tester at the CES show to begin with; I'm also surprised that the CNET team didn't insist on a side-by-side comparison prior to airing this video. Something tells me the device may still need some work. Thank you

It doesn't exist for a reason. It's EXTREMELY inaccurate to take BP on a finger. Even the wrist is considered subpar but done for convenience in certain settings. And the more circulatory issues a person has, the more likely it is to fail. Which is kind of defeating the purpose.

Ha they didn't even have a real BP cuff just to test it against 🤣🤣

I feel basic marketing strategy would be for the company to have a walk-up blood pressure machine like at a CVS there in the booth to compare readings. Since they didn’t, I assume their product is a lot less accurate than they want to admit.

I LOVE this. I’ve always wanted something to show PRESSURE not heartbeat like on the Apple Watch.

Is there a device like this the public can actually get hold of now?

I need it. I have a panic response to cuff inflation. I don't know to what extent this explains my awful BP values but it seems to be a problem.

I wonder if it has any issues with light refraction through darker colored skin. It has been shown that pulse oximeters are less accurate with darker pigmentation due to the light refraction technology.

Can't wait for this feature to come to Apple watch

Not for sale and not-FDA approved. So, what's the ruckus?

Why it wasn't compared with a cuff monitor? It would have shown finger BP does not work and ruined the video, that is why.

Blood Pressure is measured with the help of pulse so any thing that measure pulse can measure BP depending on technology used, Watches whatever its cost cannot measure accurate O2 as accurate by $10 pulse oximeter any doubt try on senior.

Even the electronic arm cuff based bp meters are not reliable especially when it comes to people with heart disease. I have seen wild readings in hypertension patients. How reliable is this one?

I almost bought one of those all in one arm cuffs built into a single unit, but they are not that accurate. Then this toy arrives.

Blood pressure measurement is so incredibly outdated and painful so this is groundbreaking. Can’t wait for it to be released.

99 bucks to measure BP? It will increase blood pressure on some people for sure

poor perfusion in the fingers will make this thing even more inaccurate. also wrist bp monitors are crap

it would have been nice to check against an actual FDA-approved BP device before posting the video. :/

Pointless.
