I often price costume/vintage jewelry based on what I would pay for it - retail (unless it's special). Good idea - bad idea? You are the most helpful. I listen to at least one of your videos a day! and share them.

I very agree I mainly use promoted listening but I don't use a crazy high number or even the recommended set by Ebay. Unless my item is over 40 or 50 dollars I'll use 2.5% at most. But I also don't use the promoted listening most of the time until after the first day because Ebay gives you that boost right off the bat. Some items for me sold so fast I didn't even need the promoted listening. So it is possible to make sales with these it just takes time and effort to get good results so you don't need them.

I understand that buyers wants their item on time and as described…. but to buy this item… they first need to see it…. meaning it as to show up in search… it’s a bit glitchy lately… would love to not use any promotions… but I really not sure how item will rank….

So to sum things up....basically eBay wants you to give things away while they continue to do nothing to improve thier failing business other than nickel and dime the sellers for more fees and promotions. I have been on eBay for 15 years plus and it is literally the worst I have ever seen it. I am working 3x as hard to make half of the income I use to make on cruise control. I am sure it's no coincidence Tech is now venturing out to training and subscription groups....things are not what they used to be. I have a store full of bangers with 0 views after weeks of being listed. EBay is a joke....

So if you are selling items that are into the hundreds of dollars, range…. Would you still stick to the 45 day marker, before dropping price? Or faster price decrease rate?

Question... Seems like eBay hides your listings if you don't do a few of the 9 items listings...so how to get around this?

I ship all items out the next day without tracking because they are too small and inexpensive and SOMETIMES S it has taken 2 WEEKS to get the item. It's not my fault it the USPS fault and there is noting to do about it.

Thanks for all the advice you give. I have a question, though. I list 5 books everyday, but for some reason, I only get sales on the weekend. Do you know why that is? It's crazy. How many sellers have opted in having a debit card linked to their account for an instant payout? I have seen my sales slow down and the payouts (daily) slow down to every other day, even though I have daily payment set up. If you did link your debit card to your payment did you see an increase in sales? I think nickel and diming sellers are disgusting. We pay monthly store subscriptions and based on your level, you would usually be in the algorithm. Now this seems to not be the case. Food for thought here and your answers will be appreciated. Btw I am Top Rated, Plus.

Agree and disagree. My sales were doo doo. Sent coupons and ran a mark down. Sales slowly improving and odd stuff is starting to sell. But I shouldn’t have to loose money to make a sale. eBay is shady as hell.
